An Atlanta Blogger: Gwinnett Gladiators

I went to the Infinity Energy Center in Gwinnett with my friend Ann for a hockey game with the Atlanta Gladiators. That's right: Gwinnett has its own hockey team. Sometimes they play out of town and other times other teams come here to play. In this case, there was a team from Florida here playing against our team.

Because it was a week night, the arena wasn't full but that was ok. It was still fun. Our seats were right behind the plexiglass and those pucks would come flying through the air and hit the glass at full speed. I was given one of the pucks to take home with me.

Every so often they had a big machine that would ride over the ice upgrading the ice for the players.

Here's a funny thing: the visiting team's goalee's last name was "McDonald". Often members in the audience would stand up and shout: "McDonald, McDonald, you SUCK. McDonald, it's all YOUR fault". He took it well.

You've heard of the "hole in the wall"?  Usually that's a small restaurant or shop that doesn't look like much but that offers great food or products. Such was the case with the restaurant below. Earlier in the day before the game, I was hungry and so I stopped by this place. It's just three lights from the hotel, tucked away in a shopping center. They make the most delicious tacos offer a great latino atmosphere. I really enjoyed myself. If you are in the hotel and would like to try them out, just go out of the hotel and to the light. Turn right. At the third light, you will see Walgreens. They are in the complex, directly behind. You'll love them.

And having nothing to do with Atlanta but everything to do with beauty, here is my closing song for this post: while it is in Spanish, the voice, the melody and both's beauty, are international.
